How can I get the audio from a .mov file into mp3 format?

I have lecture recordings in .mov format that play in Quicktime and realy need the audio on my MP3 player. Is there a free converter or a quick way I can do this? Need simple instructions pls!! Also is there anyway I can convert .aa files to mp3 format? I bought a audiobook of my Psych textook today from Audible and it won’t work on my MP3 player (Phillips SA1106) Grrr! Help would be much appreciated! xx
